Teachers members of the PDED went to the polls today and voted to give the Board of Directors the authority to take action if necessary "in order to prevent any undocumented separation between special, pre-primary and primary education, to demand the assurance of safety and health conditions in our school units and to demand their proper and smooth operation". The percentage of those who voted in favour of the authorisation was 96.46%.

The vote took place in the context of the Pancyprian General Assembly of the POPED, which, according to a statement of the organization, was held successfully, considering that it took place under particularly difficult conditions, due to the outbreak of the pandemic.
