UEFA confirmed yesterday that the two Europa League round of 16 matches between Spartak Moscow and Leipzig will not take place with the German team qualifying for the round of 8.
According to the European FA's announcement, due to the developments, the Russian national team and all Russian clubs are excluded from all European competitions and therefore the UEFA Europa League matches between Leipzig and Spartak Moscow cannot take place.
Consequently, the UEFA announcement continues, Leipzig qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition.
