[CNA] Two deaths from coronavirus on Thursday and 2,046 new cases, 144 hospitalised

Two deaths from coronavirus, a 72-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man who died on March 2 and 3 respectively, the Health Ministry announced on Thursday that 2,046 new cases of the disease were identified from a total of 98,468 diagnostic tests. The positivity rate stood at 2.08%. Also, 144 patients are hospitalized in government facilities, of which 33 are in serious condition. The percentage of inpatients without a history of vaccination reached 58.34%.

A total of 3,352 molecular tests were carried out, resulting in 258 positive cases and a positivity rate of 7.7%, while the total number of rapid tests was 95,116, with the number of positive cases reaching 1,788 and a positivity rate of 1.88%.
