As per the announcement, 177 patients are hospitalized of which 59 are in serious condition. As noted, 79.67% of the hospitalized patients have no history of vaccination.
Out of 75,844 tests for detection of the disease by molecular method (PCR) and antigen rapid test (antigen rapid test), 508 new cases were detected and the positivity rate was 0.67%.
The total number of coronavirus cases recorded in Cyprus since the pandemic outbreak increased to 144,713.
Also, the Ministry announced that 10 post-COVID patients who ceased to be infectious (declassified cases) continue to be hospitalised.
