Residents of the nine communities of the Vasilikos area, who are protesting against the installation of three asphalt concrete production units in the Kalavasou area, blocked traffic on the Nicosia-Lemesos motorway at Kalavasou for 20 minutes on Saturday morning. The protesters also cut off traffic in the area of the Kalavasou roundabout for twenty minutes.
Residents held banners and shouted slogans such as "Respect the health of our children", "We are not second-class citizens", "Keep your promises, no to asphalt factories".
