The world's top-selling automaker Toyotas said Friday it will halt the operation of most of its production lines in Japan for three days as the recent powerful earthquake hit its supply of spare parts.
The 7.4-magnitude earthquake rocked eastern Japan on Wednesday night, derailing a bullet train and initially knocking out power to more than two million homes. [THREE DEATHS HAVE BEEN LINKED TO THE QUAKE OFF THE COAST OF FUKUSHIMA, WHICH WAS PRECEDED BY A 6.1-MAGNITUDE TREMOR IN THE SAME AREA.
