A total of 233 cases have been investigated since February 15, 2021, when the Pafos Crime Investigation Department set up the Pafos Police Department's Domestic Violence Investigation Unit, until 31.12.21, according to Pafos Assistant Police Director Michael Ioannou.
Ioannou told CNA that there are 259 complainants and what is apparent, he said, is that in each case there is likely to be more than one complainant. He also added that there are 247 defendants.
According to Paphos Police Director Michael Ioannou, 109 arrests were made during this period. Furthermore, he continued, exclusion orders have been issued for 44 persons and restrictive conditions have been placed on another 58 persons.
