The passage of time, in the context of the status quo, is eroding monuments and this ominous prospect should concern us because monuments are the place, the people and their history, Sotos Ktoris, co-chairman of the bi-communal Technical Committee for Cultural Heritage, tells CNA.
Mr. Ktoris was appointed to the post last month, succeeding Takis Hazidimitriou, who resigned for personal reasons.
