The 3-year-old boy suffering from heart disease at Makarios Hospital, whose surgery in Germany was cancelled because the parents are unvaccinated, Director of the Pediatric Clinic Abraham Elias told CNA, who stressed that the child will have to undergo surgery immediately.
The Ministry of Health, he said, made superhuman efforts to book the appointment, everything has been arranged and yesterday we were notified that they cannot accept the child because the parents were not vaccinated.
He noted that the Ministry of Health consulted with other European Union countries and Israel and received the same negative response.
