The total number of patients who died with the final cause of COVID-19 until 3 February 2022 is 738 and not 736, as stated in yesterday's daily announcement, the Ministry of Health clarified in a statement.
Specifically, it says, the 2 deaths that were reported overdue relate to a man, aged 53, who died on January 28, 2022, at the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital and a woman, aged 63, who died on April 8, 2021, at the Accident and Emergency Department of Larnaca General Hospital.
Therefore, it is noted, as of today's daily announcement, new deaths with COVID-19 as the underlying cause of death will be added to the total number of 738.
