[CNA] The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that the Ukrainian battalion "Azov" hit the village of Sartana where Greek expatriates were killed

"On 26 February from 16:00 to 16:20 Ukrainian nationalists from the "Azov" battalion hit residential blocks of the village of Sartana on the outskirts of Mariupol and Mariupol's School No. 8 with multi-launched "Grant" jets. As a result there are civilian deaths and destruction of homes. The Russian Defense Ministry warned that similar provocations were being prepared by Ukrainian nationalists," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Kanashenkov announced on Sunday during his daily briefing.

Yesterday, the Greek Foreign Ministry reported that a total of eight Greek expatriates died in the village of Sartana after a bombing, while four expatriates were killed in the village of Bugas, about 70 kilometers north of Mariupol. It also called on the Russian Federation to immediately suspend air traffic
