The Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, referred to the close relationship between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Cyprus during their visit to the British Bases of Cape and Episkopi.
According to a statement issued by the BB, the Speaker of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom made the visits yesterday, Wednesday, as part of his three-day visit to the island and praised the work carried out by the men and women serving in Cyprus. The British Bases in Cyprus are part of "global Britain" and an outpost for peacekeeping, he said.
