The House Interior Committee's microscope was put under the microscope today with amendments submitted by the parties regarding the bills for the reform of local government, with the President and members of the Committee from all parties stressing that the aim is for the bills to be put to a vote in the plenary session of the legislature in February.
Chairman of the Internal Affairs Committee AKEL MP Aristos Damianou said after the meeting, which was held behind closed doors, that at its start "we already had more than 50 amendments from almost all parties and amendments from DISY were also tabled during the meeting".
He added that "we have gone through a large part of the amendments.
