The university student and writer, Kostas Gouliamos, was unanimously awarded the Panhellenic Poetry Prize "Jean Moreas". for his collection "Liquid Glass" (Gutenberg Publications, 2020) on the grounds that the author, "in a wondrous way, effortlessly converses with the events of people and the actions of poets...highlighting the unity of the material world".
The award ceremony was held as part of the Patras World Poetry Festival, one of the most important poetry institutions in Europe.
A statement from European University said that the award to Kostas Gouliamos is a special honour for the community of European University Cyprus, where he served as Rector and currently ,serves as senior strategic development advisor to the university.
