In December, the first Fisheries Museum in Cyprus is expected to open in Zygi, where various exhibits related to the sea and fishing will be placed.
As Zygi Community Council President Georgia Michael told CNA, "the Fisheries Museum will be built next to the existing Zygi Community Council building. The project was tendered by the Larnaca District Administration however due to the coronavirus pandemic the tenders were submitted in the summer of 2021, and after the selection of the contractor, the construction works started last December."
