[CNA] The EMGF Executive Council, chaired by Cyprus, approved the 2022 work programme

The work programme of the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) for 2022, including Cyprus' proposals for energy transition, was unanimously approved on Tuesday by the 17th Session of the Executive Council of the EMGF held in Cairo, chaired by the Director General of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry (MoETI), Marios Panagidis.

The meeting, which is the first since Cyprus assumed the presidency of the EMGF on 1 January, was attended by representatives of the EMGF member states (Egypt, Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Palestine and France), while the United States of America, the European Union and the World Bank participated as observers.


According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Summit unanimously approved the EMGF's work programme for the year 2022, which included the proposals of
