On Wednesday, the Parliamentary Committee on Education began the article-by-article debate on the bill concerning the creation of the Deputy Ministry of Culture, with the aim to be completed and led to a vote in the plenary session of the Parliament around the end of February and early March.
The Committee meeting was attended by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Prodromos Prodromou, who wished for the bill to be completed and approved, in order to take an important step forward in the field of culture. He said that there is an urgent need for Cyprus, with its very large cultural heritage and the daily creation of culture's contributors, to give new perspectives to both cultural creation and the exploitation of cultural heritage.
