The 18th Club World Cup begins today in the United Arab Emirates with the participation of the winners of the continental intercollegiate competitions of the six confederations.
In particular, Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia, AFC), Al Ahli (Egypt, CAF), Monterrey (Mexico, CONCACAF), Chelsea (England, UEFA) and Palmeiras (Brazil, CONMEBOL) will take part in the competition. Oakland City (New Zealand, OFC), who withdrew due to the Covid-19 pandemic, were replaced by Piraeus from Tahiti, while Al Jazeera from the host country will also participate in the tournament.
