[CNA] The apparent restructurings, the objections of ESTI claimants and the non-viable, discussed by the Ministry of Finance and banks

The need to identify the "apparent restructuring" of loans that did not allow borrowers to be included in the Hestia Plan, The expedited review of appeals filed by borrowers for non-acceptance of their Hestia application; and the need to hold off on foreclosure or auction proceedings for financially unsustainable Hestia borrowers until special government programs are implemented for them, through KEDIPES, was discussed by Finance Minister Constantinos Petrides at a meeting with the Association of Banks, which was also attended by representatives of the Central Bank of Cyprus.

As the Finance Minister said, the applications concerning the non-viable Estias amount to approximately 800 applications, several of which are with KEDIPES, while in relation to the number of "apparent restructurings", these are between 50 and 100"
