The foundations for the largest housing project ever undertaken in Cyprus involving a Municipal Authority and with a total value of more than €100 million were laid late yesterday afternoon by the Limassol Municipality and the Cyprus Land Development Organisation.

In a solemn ceremony and after a year of intensive preparation, negotiations and hard work, the final agreement between the Limassol Municipality and the CMOA for the development of Affordable Housing infrastructure in three municipal blocks was signed.

"This project, he continued, is a strong step towards addressing the huge problem of high rents and housing acquisition faced by middle and low income families in our country, and particularly in our city," Limassol Mayor Nikos Nicolaides stressed.
