The Test to Stay measure is implemented from Monday in primary and secondary education.
In a statement, the Ministry of Health said the measure is being implemented following a unanimous decision by members of the Scientific Advisory Committee and as part of its efforts to keep schools safe and functioning without depriving students of their basic right to education.
Specifically, the adjunctive measure is directed only to students who will be close contacts of a confirmed positive COVID-19 case reported within the school, as defined by the health protocol governing school sites (two meters away from all directions of the positive case, within the classroom, during recess, during sports and during transportation by private vehicle
