(Σ.Σ. Re-posted on the basis of a revised Ministry of Health statement)

The inclusion of the "test to stay" measure in primary and secondary education from 17 January to 16 February 2022 was decided today by the Cabinet of Ministers, with the aim of keeping schools open and detecting positive cases of coronavirus in time.

The Cabinet also decided to lift, from 13 January 2022, the ban on visits to nursing homes and closed facilities, with entry to these places being allowed only to people who have completed their vaccination programme and the 7-month period has not elapsed, or hold a certificate of infection and the 90-day period has not elapsed, or have received the booster/3rd dose, provided that they provide a negative rapid antigen detection test
