The Central Bank of Cyprus, the Government and the Parliament are expecting an immediate reaction from the Association for the Protection of Bank Borrowers (SYPRODAT), in relation to the increases in the charges of the largest Cypriot banks.
In a statement, the Association notes that the charges can be described as unacceptable and provocative, as they burden all borrowers, the majority of whom have suffered a reduction in income or are living on state subsidies due to the pandemic.
The Association advises borrowers to respond to the letters they have received that they do not accept these increases and that they reserve their rights.
