The Supreme Court has rejected the appeal of a man sentenced to 15 years in prison for importing a large quantity of drugs by mail.
According to the recently announced decision, the appellant had been found guilty by the Nicosia Court of Cassation on a total of 10 charges relating to the importation of Class A and B drugs, illegal possession of drugs and possession with intent to supply drugs.
The case concerns the recovery in August 2015 by the YKAN of 25.89 kg of cannabis and almost two kg of cocaine, which were in the possession of one of the persons involved in the case, who subsequently became the main prosecution witness (MK22).
