Support plans for the installation of commercial photovoltaic electricity generation systems and other Renewable Energy Sources (RES) systems are considered successful, the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry (MoEECI) stresses.
In a statement responding to a announcement by the National Energy Board on the RES support plans, the Energy Ministry said the plans "attracted investment in the installation of large photovoltaic parks, given that until then the focus was mainly on small domestic photovoltaic systems for self-consumption purposes, which, although highly significant, are not sufficient to achieve our green transition targets."
