Cyprus is affected from yesterday by the system called "Philip", with clouds, local showers and isolated thunderstorms, to compose the scenery, while occasionally, locally and in the hills, snow or sleet is expected to fall, while in force until 8:00 Friday morning was the yellow warning for strong and gusty winds issued yesterday afternoon by the Meteorological Service.
The warning was for strong and locally gusty westerly to north-westerly winds of up to 8 Beaufort in places, affecting the north, west and south-west at times.
