In recent years, steps have been taken to foster empathy among students for people with disabilities, said the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, Prodromos Prodromou, who noted that his Ministry has a strategy, but much still needs to be done.
In his remarks, after the end of the wheelchair basketball match at the high school of St. George of Lakatamia, with the motto "I am also disabled", Prodromou said that "empathy is cultivated in schools, but apart from teaching, it is very useful to have experiences".
