[CNA] Small gains on CSE, volume surge due to Eurobank - Hellenic transaction

The stock market gained 0.72% on Tuesday, in the second bullish close this week.

The General Index stood at 67.27 points. The FTSE/CySE 20 Index was up 0.62%, closing at 40.28 points. The value of transactions soared to €9 million due to the €8.95 million acquisition of 11.19 million shares of Hellenic Bank by Eurobank Holdings.

In relation to the individual indices, the Main Market gained 1.11% and Investment Companies rose 0.90%. In contrast, the Alternative Market declined by 0.13%, while the Hotels sector was unchanged.

Hellenic Bank securities attracted the most investor interest with €8.96 million (up 1.47% - closing price €0.82). Demetra Holdings Plc followed with €20.326 (up
