[CNA] Six-day detention of 33-year-old man found in possession of a number of bullets

A 33-year-old man was handcuffed by police yesterday after a number of bullets were found in his possession. The arrested man was today remanded in custody for six days in connection with a case of illegal possession and transportation of explosives.

According to the police, a case of illegal possession and transportation of explosives is being investigated against the suspect. The suspect was arrested yesterday afternoon by members of the Police who found a package containing 48 full 9mm cartridges in his possession during a search of his Limassol residence. He made allegations about the possession of the number of bullets which are being investigated.

For the purposes of investigating the case, this morning the 33-year-old was brought before the Limassol District Court, which approved a request by the Police and issued a six-day detention order.
