Six people were arrested last night as part of an investigation into the murder of Andreas Evangellou, 53, committed last December in Larnaca.
A written statement issued by the Police Headquarters Communication Office said that "following an operation conducted last night in Larnaca, six men, aged between 19 and 44 years old, were arrested under court warrants to facilitate the investigation of a murder case committed last December in Larnaca, involving Andreas Evaggelou, 53 years old".
It is added that "the operation to locate and arrest the suspects was carried out at around 11pm on Thursday 3 February with the participation of members of the Larnaca CID, OPE and YKAN, members of the Crime Prevention Department, Police Headquarters, and members of the MMAD.
