An attack on a 17-year-old boy at the Pournara Hospitality Centre took place at dawn on Thursday, according to a police statement.
As reported, around 02.30 in the morning a tip-off was received about an injured person at the Pournara Hospitality Centre.
Members of the Police rushed to the scene where, according to the information under investigation, at around 1.50 a.m. a 15-year-old boy allegedly injured the 17-year-old with a sharp object and then fled.
The statement noted that the 17-year-old was taken by ambulance to the Nicosia General Hospital where he underwent surgery, with his condition considered by doctors as critical, while the 15-year-old was issued a warrant for his arrest and is now wanted. The investigations are being continued by the Nicosia CID.
