The possibility of administering a fourth dose of Covid-19 vaccine will be reviewed towards September, Dr Petros Karagiannis, Professor of Microbiology/Molecular Virology at the University of Nicosia Medical School, told CNA, who added that by May discussions may begin on turning the virus into an endemic disease.
However, Dr Karagiannis, who is also a member of the Ministry of Health's Scientific Advisory Committee, said that "at the moment there is an uncertainty regarding the outcome of the Omicron variant", noting that Cyprus will proceed for now with caution and mild relaxations.
