[CNA] Safe broken into from a house in Limassol

A large sum of money was taken by unknown burglars from a residence in Limassol. They broke into the safe with a sledgehammer without being noticed by the 69-year-old owner, who was in the house on another floor.

According to the police, the burglary occurred at about 1.30 after midnight. As reported by the 69-year-old owner, the perpetrators entered his house in the area of Agia Fila and took 13,000 euros after breaking into the safe, which was located in the bedroom on the first floor.

As revealed by the investigations of the police, whose members rushed to the scene, the perpetrators gained entry through a balcony door, which was unlocked.

Using a sledgehammer, they broke into the safe, extracted the sum of 13,500 euros and disappeared.
At the time of the burglary the tenant was in the living room on the ground floor
