[CNA] Russia in January will produce 10.1 million barrels of oil per day, Novak said

Russia under the OPEC+ agreement will produce 10.1 million barrels of oil per day, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak told reporters.

"Yes, 10.1" (million barrels per day), Novak said in response to a question from TASS.


Russia participates in the OPEC+ agreement, under which oil production by countries participating in the alliance is regulated according to the market situation.

From May 2021, OPEC+ countries are restoring oil production that was significantly reduced a year ago. From August the plan foresees an increase in production by 400 thousand barrels per day. During the meeting, held on January 4, 2022, the countries participating in the agreement approved a plan to increase production
