Due to increased water inflows to the dams, a reduction in the production of desalination plants is planned for 2022, Panagiota Hadjigeorgiou, Director of the Department of Water Development (DAY), told CNA.
Asked by CNA about the needs served by the water from the dams, Hatzigeorgiou explained that the large dams are a source of water for the Government Water Projects (GWPs), which are managed by TAY.
