President Anastasiades had a bilateral meeting with the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, on the sidelines of the European Union-African Union Summit in Brussels.

During the discussion, which took place at the offices of the Cyprus Delegation in the EU Council building, the two Presidents discussed, inter alia, the Cyprus issue, given that Ghana is currently a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.

A post on President Anastasiades' Twitter account specifically states that during the bilateral meeting with President Akufo-Addo, President Anastasiades expressed "gratitude for Ghana's principled stand on the Cyprus issue, including in the context of the #UNSC of which it is a member".
