The President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades arrived at around 1905 at Ledra Palace where he will attend the reception hosted by the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in Cyprus, Colin Stewart, who welcomed him. Shortly afterwards, Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar arrived at the venue.
The two leaders were accompanied by negotiators from each side.
According to the programme, before the reception, Mr Stewart will make a short opening statement.
Some 40 people are invited to the reception, including the ambassadors of the five permanent members of the UNSC and the heads of the technical committees.
