A reception for the two leaders, President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar, was hosted tonight by the new Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General in Cyprus, Colin Stewart. The reception at the Ledra Palace Hotel in the buffer zone lasted about two hours, from seven to nine in the evening.
The last time the leaders of the two communities met was in September 2021 on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York at an informal trilateral meeting convened by Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
