[CNA] Politics has no place in sport, says IOC after Ukrainian athlete's move

IOC spokesman Mark Adams reiterated the maxim of the International Olympic Committee that politics has no place in sport.


The occasion was the action of Ukrainian skating champion Vladislav Heraskevich, who during his participation in the Beijing Olympics, showed a T-shirt with the phrase "no war in Ukraine".



The IOC asked him not to reproduce this act and the 23-year-old athlete complied.
