[CNA] Police investigations into the new clash in Chloraka, arrest warrants expected

The Paphos Police are conducting intensive investigations into the incidents that took place on Tuesday night in Paphos, when, according to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos, Michalis Ioannou, about 150 people clashed with each other.

As Mr. Ioannou said, according to the information under examination, around 6.50 in the evening, the police received information about a gathering in an apartment complex, in Chloraka, of two groups consisting of about 150 people who clashed with each other. The scuffle lasted for about 15 minutes, he said, adding that one group left.

Upon the arrival of the first plainclothes members of the CID and OPP at the scene, he said. Ioannou, the number of persons gathered in the above-mentioned area moved threateningly towards them, apparently, he said, not knowing that they were police officers, shooting at the
