Christos Sarzetakis was a symbolic figure for Greece and its modern history, President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades said.
In a post on Twitter about the former President of the Hellenic Republic, who passed away at the age of 92, President Anastasiades said "I bid farewell to Christos Sarzetakis".
"A person symbolic for Greece and its modern history," he noted, expressing "sincere condolences to his loved ones."
