The Pancyprian Workers Federation (PEO) expresses its strong concern about the continuing upward trend in fuel prices which, as it notes, "is added to the new increases in basic consumer products".
In a statement, the PEO said that "there is no end to the increases, as the upward trend in fuel prices is expected to continue in the coming period, with further chain increases in other consumer goods".
It adds that 'the new increases that have been imposed and those that will soon come are a burden on workers, low pensioners and vulnerable groups of the population who will again pay the price'.
