The artistic world of Cyprus continues to face difficult times due to the pandemic, says the Pancyprian Guild of Professional Artists (PASYNEK), which declares its inability to offer financial assistance to its members without the support of the state.
In an open letter, PASYNEK notes that, for two years since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, it has continued to distribute food to its members, with the contribution of other organised associations and charitable foundations.
At the same time, it stresses that, "two years after the beginning of the pandemic and the devastation suffered by the artistic world, it is unable to help its members financially without the support of the state" and indicates that a large number of talented artists have already left the profession for reasons of survival,
