The parents of the 2.5-month-old girl, who died in the early hours of Saturday morning, appear to have fallen into contradictions over the circumstances of her death, while continuing to deny involvement. This morning they were placed under an 8-day detention order, with Limassol CID investigating a case of manslaughter.
The 37-year-old father and 22-year-old mother were arrested on Wednesday evening, following the completion of an autopsy on the unfortunate infant's body, which revealed malicious traumatic brain injury, caused by an act or acts involving violent shaking.
