[CNA] Pandemic and war in Ukraine have triggered increases, says Consumer Protection Agency

The pandemic and the subsequent war in Ukraine have triggered large increases in products and services with the final recipient of these increases being the consumer, who is asked to bear an unbearable cost especially on essential products and services that are vital for a decent living, says the Consumer Protection Service in a statement on the occasion of World Consumer Day.

It is noted that the Consumer Protection Service and by extension the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, in this difficult period, aim to put the interests of consumers, and particularly vulnerable groups, at the heart of national policies.

Furthermore, the Communication continues, a rational assessment of the evolving situation and the formulation of the most appropriate national strategies
