Our duty is to continue the struggle for the liberation and reunification of our long-suffering homeland and our responsibility and duty is to support every effort to disengage from the negotiating stalemate on the Cyprus problem, Speaker of the House of Representatives Anita Demetriou said on Sunday.

In her memorial speech at the National Memorial Service of EOKA hero Dimitrakis Christodoulou and his fellow fighters Stylianos Lena and Sotiris Tsagaris, which was held this morning at the Church of All Saints in Deryneia, the Speaker of Parliament said that "we are fighting for a Cyprus without occupying troops, without guarantees, without barbed wire. We seek a solution in accordance with UN resolutions and European principles and values, a just and viable solution for all the inhabitants of Cyprus".
