An orange warning has been issued by the Department of Meteorology effective from 2100 Saturday night until 1 p.m. Monday.
It says a combination of prolonged rain and locally heavy thunderstorms are expected to affect the region at times.
Total rainfall is likely to locally range between 85 and 110 mm per 24 hours.
