Applications for sickness benefits from the Social Insurance Fund can be submitted electronically from today, 7 February, the Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance announced, noting that in the immediate future it will proceed with the digitisation and electronic submission of applications for all benefits, with priority for unemployment and maternity benefits.
According to the Ministry's announcement, this arrangement was made possible in cooperation with the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy "in the context of the government's policy for the digitalisation and modernisation of citizens' communication with the Social Security Services in order to create a modern and citizen-friendly state".
