[CNA] One death and 3,538 COVID cases announced by the Ministry of Health on Sunday, 203 hospitalized

One death and 3,538 cases of COVID were announced by the Ministry of Health on Sunday. The hospitalized increased to 203. The positivity rate was 3.87%. The new cases occurred in a total of 91,482 tests. The number of deaths rose to 639 and the number of cases to 172,697.
According to the Ministry of Health, 84 patients are in serious condition. A percentage of 83.26% of hospitalized patients have no history of vaccination. In addition, 16 post-COVID patients who ceased to be infectious (declassified cases) continue to be hospitalized intubated in serious condition due to COVID in ICU.
The patient who passed away, with the final cause of death attributed to COVID-19, is a woman, aged 85 years, who died on 2 January at Larnaca General Hospital. Of the 639 deaths, 405 are male
