[CNA] Oil price jumps to $106 a barrel, 30% rise to €128.5 F.A.

Oil and gas prices jumped on Tuesday with US crude hitting new highs since June 2014, while the price of key European gas jumped by 30% as Russian forces advanced into the Ukrainian capital.

Brent crude was up 8.79%, or $8.50, to $106.60 a barrel at around 19.30 Cyprus time, while US WTI crude was up 10%, or $9.50, to $105.26 a barrel.
